Back in 2001, a small group of Colombian cafeteros banded together to improve their coffee growing fortunes. Almost a quarter of a century later, Asociación de Los Naranjos carries on as an exemplar of Huila coffee production, well known for Cup of Excellence winners and sweet, bright cups. The 50-60 farmers who live and work around the town of San Agustin continue their journey today, cultivating both traditional and newly-introduced varieties, refining them through a fully washed process. Medium roasting coaxes out chocolates and caramels, while the medium-high elevation develops a bright sweetness that carries through to the finish.
