We Taste - Butterfinger, cardamom, tropical fruit
Through collaboration with longtime friend Josue Morales from Los Volcanes Coffee, Inácio Urban seeks innovation in his farm's production and processing methodologies with a sustainable, quality eye towards microbiology. Calling his farm Rio Brilhante ('Bright River') to honor the river and aquifer so vital to nourishing his coffee trees, Urban knows that water is life and sees green coffee as a living organism that must have its ability to sprout maintained. With that perspective in mind, the Maracuja ('Passion Fruit') lot features small batch Natural fermentation that speaks to the varieties' density and desired cup profile. With our medium-dark roast yielding tasting notes of sweet almond butter, milk chocolate, warming spices, and even a little tropical fruit, you'll find this larger experimental lot perfect for rich, distinctive brews.
