El Salvador San Nicolas Natural Gesha - Edgardo Gutierrez
El Salvador San Nicolas Natural Gesha - Edgardo Gutierrez
We Taste - Papaya jam, vanilla, winey
The Gesha variety derives its flavorful genes from Ethiopia landraces, so it is with great pleasure that we introduce Edgardo Gutierrez's superlative microlot of this stunning cultivar. Grown on his farm San Nicolas at a medium elevation in the cool microclimate of Chalatenango, the "valley of water and sand", Gutierrez uses a Natural process to coax out jammy papaya and vanilla aromatics, ensconced in a winey mouthfeel. Our light roasting highlights the sweetness that producer, land, and variety bring to the cup, making this rare varietal lot perfect for pour overs and by-the-cup brews.
