Ethiopian coffee farms are typically garden-sized and blended into larger community lots, so it is with great excitement that we share the singular work of Mr. Alemu Beraso. Chelchele Washing Station reserved Beraso's high-elevation Heirloom harvest due to its superlative elegance and quality. Lulo Coffee connected Mr. Beraso with Cafe Imports, both organizations advocating for greater transparency, quality, and price paid to the farmer. Chelchele's delicate Natural process developed clean fruit flavors of red berry and florals, while our light roasting preserves an elegant, perfumy cup that brews perfectly at long ratio by-the-cup preparations and nearly "lungo" espresso pulls.
