Ethiopia Bekele Gemeda - Washed Yirgacheffe
Ethiopia Bekele Gemeda - Washed Yirgacheffe
We Taste - Peach pixi stix, perfume, lime
Bekele Gemeda's Heirloom Ethiopia varieties win awards, and it's easy to taste why. Grown on his two farms near the village of Worka in famous Yirgacheffe, the perfectly cool, higher elevation microclimate allows these selected varieties to develop a distinctive floral, fruit character. Delicate fermentation and thorough washing distill such elegance into the orange fruit gem before you. Light roasting preserves what is good and juicy about this beautiful single farmer lot. Expect orange fruit like peach, a lime-like juiciness, and perfumy aromatics, especially if you give this coffee a week or so off-roast!
