Guatemala AProCafé
We Taste - White chocolate, dried cherry, rich
Breathtaking Lake Atitlán cools its surrounding rich volcanic hills with winds that create microclimates uniquely suited to specialty coffee. AProCafé farmer-members honor this beauty with organic practices (like vermicompost) to sustain the land, water, and a range of Arabica varieties among shade trees and crops. For this lot, hand-picked coffees grown by the villagers of San Pedro La Laguna were cupped and classified by quality and cup profile. A selection of small-holder lots were chosen for their exemplary Lake Atitlán terroir - and blended into the sweet, rich washed coffee you're enjoying. Medium roasting strikes a balance between sugar browning and brighter notes, yielding a sweet, full cup just waiting for espresso, batch brew, and other popular methods.
