We Taste - Strawberry, tropical, bubble gum

One of the sweetest, most fruit-forward coffees we've tasted this season, Cyato Natural from Rwanda caught our attention with its bouquet of sugary fermentation flavors. Ripe strawberry, mango, papaya, and even bubble gum pop in our light roast profile. Cooperative members near the high-elevation Lake Kivu deliver their organically-grown and ripely-picked Red Bourbon fresh to Cyato Coffee Washing Station. Contrary to the name in this case, the ripe berries are not washed, but left intact to dry slowly on raised beds. A month of drying coaxes out sweet tropical and berry flavors, yielding a bright, creamy cup that makes stunning by-the-cup brews and longer espresso pulls.
